Tom came home yester am with a cactus pod on his flank and 2 thorns between his shoulders.  Extracted all quickly and he seemed none the worse.  I put the pod in the stove with newspaper and burned it up.

Am in the dining r00m with the heater beside me and----- fire in living room.  Heated kitchen with small heater while I a brfst, so things are ok.  The Rimfros have lately put in gas to heat their room and I fins their excuse has been much more ---- mine and they shut off the heat in much the same way I do.
