In the morning Mr. C's condition was
strikingly improved. His respiration was much easier and the pulse and temperature waves had fallen to points barely above normal. The Main Laboratory was able to confirm our typing and we sent for a second dose of serum which was administered promptly. The attending physician met us in the doctors' lounge and listened to our report. "You did well," he said briefly.
