you might, not only do we want to see you but we want you to meet a very interesting and charming person of our generation and way of thinking who is staying w/ us just now - Minerva Rautenstrauch, widow of one of the outstanding men at Columbia University, whose lectures were so popular they had to be given in the auditorium - no classroom large enough! Seconds, to thank you most warmly for the basket of beautiful oranges and grapefruits, Bertie is al- lergic alas, to most citrus fruits but navel oranges are mild and so I am kind of saving them for her - except as to a dozen of the biggest which we sent to dear Mrs. Stern, in Washington - you met her here. Mrs. R - (vide supra) is passionately devoted to grapefruit - as for me I devour all citrus fruits. Do write us that (and when) you are coming.
