He leaves at 6:45 every week-day morning, and gets home about six, and all tired out. He looks delicate, and his wife tells me he has kidney trouble. She is a big, buxom, energetic brunette - so unlike Mrs. Bobula who is slender and very quiet and very Boston-ese! I saw Cagney in Johnnie - come-lately yesterday aft. This week A.P. celebrates Armistice Day with a big parade by the Bombing Rouge and speeches and a showing of This is the Army, with a program besides - I bought a $1.10 ticket. But I may not go to the evening show as it begins at 9 p.m. There are two days at regular prices, but I wanted to make a contribution to the Army Relief Fund. Have the plastering done on the ceilings in kitchen and living room (16.00) fertilizer 25.00, hoeing grove and cleaning up in front, $15.00, etc. but I'm determined to bank the $55.00 each month. The next big job is painting the garage, It needs it badly. I'm well, and still able to hustle. Much love to all, Mother. | ||
