could he fulfill the law of God for himself, & then for men? this is impossible- could he suffer the penalty of the law in man unclear stead? this is impossible that the Lord would accept of the sacrifice of an angel men could have no knowledge of this without a revelation- beside without a revelation from God men could know nothing about any good angels- How fully does it appear from these hints there is no salvation in any of these- angels cannot bring back the souls of men to their original form & restore them to the love & enjoyment of their maker. 2dly The same appears true from the various plans which wise men & moralists have concocted to restore the human mind- Plato- Socrates- Confucious - Cicero, & Seneca, who have been the most renowned & celebrated for their morals among all the Heathen
