In the text only the obligations of children to parents are mentioned, but that is but one particular of many duties included in that precept & that relative duty is mentioned because it is most important, as it prepares the subject for the faithful discharge of all other relative duties. For he who honors, loves & obeys his parents will do well in all conditions & relations in life, towards mankind.  They who honor, love & obey their parents, will be good husbands & wives - good masters & servants - good teachers & good pupils - good rulers & good subjects.

As benevolence or virtuaous love to out fellow men in the fundamental principle of all relative duty & the fulfil.g the whole law, it appears, in no one connection or relation in life, to be more important & necessary than in the near & endear.g connection of husband & wives.
