I sewed some soles on them. and I assure you, they are a great comfort to me; they keep my feet so warm. You see they dont any of them want me to freeze. It is most time for exercises. One of the patients, Miss Holmes, (a dear good girl) gave me a pair of large woolen stockings to wear over my shoes to go through the snow.
