Dear Sister M.D.,
  I take my pen in "hand" this morning with rather a listless feeling as I have no strength for any very vigorous exertion. I feel just about good for nothing enough to write to you. (Please excuse the doubtful compliment) As you will surmise, I am recovering from one of the unwelcome attacks to which I am obliged to yield occasionally. This was not so severe as some, though, as usual it kept my back and bed in pretty close connection for about 48 hours. I did not vomit so my tongue is all right and I am not very low.-      Evening: Cynthia has gone

Friday morning. - Eddie is not going to N. York this winter as one of the other partners have been down so we dont know how we can send your black basquine Mother is feeling quite poorly this morning and she was also last evening.
