was two above zero this morning at sunrise. We had a hard spell with the asthma last Sat. and Sun. He is much better now and if it were pleasant he would be able to go out for a little walk, but it is too cold and stormy. My teeth are much better though they still pain me some. Elizabeth is about the same; some days very lame indeed and then a little better. On the whole we do not think she has got any worse for the last few weeks. I hope she will feel better when the warm weather comes and she can get out a little. How is it about the Cen. our number has not come yet. We feel a little anxious lest the Chicago bag was an ill-fated train at Ashtabula and was burned. If so, it will be a great loss, but we hope it was not started soon enough for that.
