Dear Jennie, I am certainly unable to tell whether or not I have written to you since receiving your last letter. I think I will write before long but do not wait for me at all. We have had some queer times of late here of which I presume Abbie has written to. How I wish I could see you, even for [[fin?]] [[winter?]]. Wishes all in vain so I can only write. That journal here are out lately though I can easily make it on back I think. I am writing in [[alcove?]] and must stop now. I hope your [[Harmometer?]] has not stood [[unclear]] and dow lately as those in [[Notila?]]. Yours aff. Fanny
