The letter written on dear Sister E's birthday came Monday and a card today from you- With yours Monday others from Edward and Anna came - so I had quite a feast (underlined) and gladly shared it with the rest. They say it is a good as if they got the letters themselves when I get them! O yes, there was one from Grace P. giving a budget of home news in that same mail- Wonder if they chatted together in that mail bag as they journeyed together from Utica! They have had it colder and more stormy than at Remsen elsewhere it seems. Hope it will moderate before we reach home. I suppose we shall not find the roads much different from when we left. Cases of measles continue and are more severe than at first. G. mentions one death - a young lady who was recovering from the measles but died suddenly of

(There's another chain that name if I only could remember!) We have broken several cups belonging to our tea sets but no saucers. They offer some kind of a set for with a $20 order- but I do not know how nice it is. Remember me to Lizzie Thomas and her mother. Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Winston &c - When I was in Utica I called on Mrs. Jones Mandeville St and they called Sunday evening and took me to the new Angl. church. She was well- I did not see Mrs. George- J.E.
