The candidate being washed and dressed in clean but common clothes, was conducted to his seat. The four who conducted him, commenced a ?ow Dance round his seat, singing one verse of a certain song as they proceeded round. Then pausing a moment, they went round again singing another verse: and thus till they had sung the whole song consisting of four verses, and past? around him four times. Then the man who walked behind in conducting him to his seat, undressed the candidate, stripping him entirely excepting his flap. Then the man at this right hand, anointed (marked? him) as unclear. Then the same person who undressed him, now came forward + put on his official dress. This was entirely red, coat, girdle, leggings, garters? moccasins image all red. Then the feather was fastened to his hair, as above, and then the war club was put in his hand. The four men then took their seats, the two red seats on the rights and left of that occupied by the candidate, two unclear each seat. (enquire?)
