So high of an opinion do I entertain of your humanity & politeness, as to persuade myself that you will excuse the liberty I am taking. I have been told that it was the intention of the Editors of the Panoplist to publish the journal which I kept in my late tour into Canada. It is with solicitude I request you, my Honoured Sir, if this be the case, to see that the part which respects the meeting & doings of the Protestant association be left out, for this reason, the meeting was secret; as those who attended did not wish that the design of their coming together should be known to their Brethren, who profess to be Roman Catholics.
