But if you in any degree lose your incidence among your people, if you are faithful to your religion, we shall abide with you & comfort you. Preachers should have assistant. For his holy Prophet Ganyodiyoh, the Great Spirit himself raised aids. They angels said, to the Prophet, that they respected his aids, because they were religious offers, and not mere dignitary chiefs. Let these assistants thank the Great Spirit when the time draws near fo them to act. When they have performed their duty, they must return thanks again to the Great Spirit. All religious officers are placed in the path that leads to heaven, & if they resign their offices they put themselves out of the way. Those who do resign will find more difficulties in traveling in the wrong faith, but the firm and faithful will be happy in heaven. I therefore exhort all my assistants to be faithful to & firm in the principles of the religion entrusted to them. The Indians have many songs, after which they dance for amusement; these same songs will be sung by the happy in heaven. So for instance the grand religious dance, which is performed at all the feats of the Indians, that also will be danced in heaven, & the Indians say that the Great Spirit himself will be teh singer.
