MONDAY 26 Lieut Dalgliesh reced a furlough for 10 days. Went down town & got a picture taken in citizens dress. An order came in the evening for the "Commandant of 150th Reg Cdr of 15 & I? sts," to report his command of the Provost marshals office.
TUESDAY 27 Went to Congress. The bill for raising negro regiments was before the House laid over. In the Senate Garrett Davis made a speech on the "Habeas corpus" question This was the day Senator Saulsbury of Del created the trouble. Raining
