The grass is not so good being dryer -- The season is here evidently much earlier & probably longer than in the French Ck Country.
We were followed over by a lot of miners, whom I suspect to be rather horse thieves than the O.M -- as Spaulding designates the honest miner -- Very little mining work is being done here. The miners appearing to be the same smudged shiftless lot that we
