July 18, 75 ___________________________________________ Thur 8 am 58°. 2 pm 72, 12 pm 62 ___________________________________________ Gave all necessary order for the movements & for mail party. About 9½ am started on an exploring exposition. Spaulding old Bullock Trout Fred & myself. Went to explore the Canon I found the day before yesterday.
It was a Splendid Canon. The rocks on sides were not continuous but were all the more unclear unique & they towered to the higher of fully 1000 feet. After a rather hard pull through thickets
