About 12 M go over to the Pacific RR Depot. and at 4 PM. Take the Ace. train and go 19 miles into the country to Meramac in order to get the men away from the grog shops until tomorrow at 9 when the Express will take me on to Kansas city. The country from St Louis to Meramac is splendid. While St. Louis called on Capt. Smith, found him happy and enjoying himself, but has not got much practice yet. Does |
