~ Dear Mother - How glad I should be to have you all upon Isaac's suggestion, and come here with Percie. We are enjoying ourselves and well as we could possibly have expected. The thoughts will come sometimes how happy we should have been- how happy little Mayo and Willie would have been - and then I am astonished & grieved at myself that I should for one moment lose sight of their far greater bliss & joy in the bright home above.

"careful & troubled about many things." works & worries herself to have every thing just so nice & exact much more than is necessary with so small a family. She has got I guess pretty good Dutch girl, stout, willing, and able to do most every thing; if Nettie could be content not to see to every thing herself so much. Monday morn. Dec. 8-

Little Wilder is ? and happy all day long. He had only four teeth - has taken three or four steps alone, grows fat and strong every day though I do not think him any stronger now than before he was sick. I am so glad Percie is so well - Raspberry leave and pumpkin bread seemed to be very Effectual. Isaac seems much better than when we came here. I did feel very anxious indeed about him. I feared he would be really very sick before he would be well. It was wonderful that he was not much sicker after so much care. Anna is just as good as can be - she comes over almost every day & Hattie & Libby come after, and altogether we have nice times. The black spot to me is the thought of Isaac's going away. I should really take great comfort in thinking of the winter if this did come up so often before me, and I do not mean to be unhappy about this either if he is only well. I should think Samuel's rooms must be very pleasant. We found a number of things nice & convenient that were not changed - spice box etc. Samuel is very thoughtful & kind.
