I did really want to go down the Ohio River. I believe nothing hindered me from it but the desire of getting here a letter from you. I believe I directed my last to Milo. Guess I will send this to Bangor for I hardly believe you have gone there yet--have you? I mailed at Pittsburgh a letter to Farber & Metcalf containing plans of their land etc. etc. I want to hear how Eliah made out at Boston that week. I suppose I need not ask you to kiss Mayo for me. Please Lucy too. I did not think I should not see her again before I left.
