Dear Brother Jos.
One of our shirts, which I have completed, I send, desiring you to examine it faithfully & thoroughly, and see if the rest shall be made like with it. The wristbands I made narrow as Eliab desired his made, L as Isaac, wld me to; also narrow binding as you directed. I have made no buttonholes in the bosom because I knew not how to fix them for studs. Ann will fix these if you tell her how you want them. Please examine particularly the bosom and about the neck and see if you wish any alteration in the other, and if that needs fixing differently return it by Isaac. You sent only linen enough for few shirts, (and some additional collars) so I put bosoms in Isaacs and in one pair of yours the others make without. Can you tell me how you want collars made? As usual or some new fashion? The shirts are all done except putting the linen to then (collars, wristband, and bosoms) but I do not like to finish them entirely til I know of that kind. So please let me know by Isaac. The bosoms you sent up cannot consistently be allowed as they are stitched and there is
