As Sarah has left this page for me, and I have not written much lately, I guess I must try and write something, to redeem my character, if for no other reason. Sarah has written such a nice full letter, that I hardly know how to add anything - you know I dont want to take the shine off from her letter, but perhaps you will think there is no danger, so I will proceed as well as I know how. You will be sorry to hear that Elizabeth is poorly, but we are in hopes she will be better tomorrow. I wish Mary could see her. She has taken some cold, I think, and seems bilious. She seems better this afternoon, but has not much appetite. I hope you have had a good meeting this week, those of you who were able to attend. The weather has been very favorable, if it was the same there as it was here, - it has been very pleasant here nearly all the week; hope it will continue so next week. Who preaches in our church tomorrow? and next Sabbath? Wish I could be there to hear him. We received a letter two or three days ago, written on the inside by Jennie & Cynthia, and on the outside by Mary. It seems good to get something from each one, if only a little. I wish Robbie and Eddie would write again. We have had no letter from Lewis and Jane, but hope to soon. Give much love to father and mother and all. Anna.
left margin: If I didn't think there had been enough said on a poor subjectI would say something about myself. I am feeling much better than I did last week, indeed I have felt very well today — am about over my cold, played croquet with Heather some today. this evening
upside-down at top: we have been amusing ourselves and the little girls by playing all the little games we could each think of, such as magic writing &c., then we sang two or three tunes, as we do very often.
