June 10. Left B. in the steam boat Hendrik Hudson for [[unclear]] with 16 other. Miss Perry and the Misses [[unclear]] remained behind for sickness. The latter to avoid Sabbath traveling, I think it greatly to be lamented that this sabbath traveling has been so forced upon us - do hope one may never be placed in like circumstances again.
