    The National Committee has taken into consideration the controversy between the heirs of Walter Scott, deceased, and their half sisters, the Browns, relating to the right of property defunded from the said deceased Walter Scott, and are of opinion that Mrs. Sarah Brown as a widow to Walter Scotgt deceased, ought to be entitled to her dower.
     Therefore they have decided that the property given by Mrs. Sarah Brown deceased to her daughters, viz: to Katy Doublehead three hundred fifty dollars cash; -- to Charlotte Brown, one Negro girl. Betty & to Ibby Brown, one negro woman named Nan and her child, shall be considered as lawful heir to the above named property given to them by their mother Mrs. Sara Brown, deceased.
