Shumway, Her tone from our old letters a bit of paper and gave them the name of Mr. Fisher minister of Palmyra and Mr. Richardson of Pittsford.  He also told us to go the Bunker hill house at Palmyra under the care of Mr. Newton, and there ask for Mr. Purdue a merchant there to whom he wrote something like this "[[Pas?]] Purdue, in the name of the Lord give these sisters your hospitality who for consciences [[unclear]] stop to keep holy time.  They are a company of teachers going to the West".  The captain and his family felt badly that we were going, but they [[unclear]] very hard [[unclear]]  Mr. Blakely accompanied up to the Folilum  called the keeper and lady then bade us good bye.  Mrs. Shoa told the lady our name and she sent for Mr. Purdue who was very cordial and went out and found places for us two and two.  Miss Dean & I are at Mr. Bowman's  Avery pleasant family consisting of wife and two little boys, George & Charles.  God has been our helper & that we could praise him enough.
