March 18" 1888 Today in Creston? left hotel at 6:30 am went to engineers headquarters left there at 12 Noon as instructed by M.M. Eckerson? and went to Millers Hotel. unclear three Brotherhood were there, one said he intended to go back to work if strike was not settled by Saturday. Second man said he would do the same, the third one made threats that if first two did, there would be trouble. Heard nothing of any importance up to 9 P.M. when I discontinued March 21" 1888 Left the hotel at Creseton today at 6:30 am went to engineers headquarters. There were fifteen new engineers arrived in the course of the day, some of them left their revolvers in their bunks and had them stolen.
