Tis the Methodist Conference Meeting here now- All the Pulpits here + in Brever I believe were filled by Methodist Ministers today Professors Shepard + [[Harres?]] gone to Boston to the Meetings_ I have been but one morning + two evening meetings- Some of the family did go pretty constantly before I came but both the Children have been sick_ Lucy is considerably better _ Irwing is gaining some but is very nervous + unstable. They have to hold him in their laps all day long- have not bee able to get him down on the bed even when asleep in the daytime

Hattie + Mary are both here now Mary is going away to Binghampton next week in Company with S, + his wife- It looks cold + dreary here for the season but it has changed considerably in a week + another week if warm
