Dear Mother

I suppose you were some surprised to receive telegraph from me from Elyria. I arrived at Newton Corner Saturday afternoon, have been to Newburyport today. I may start for Bangor and Milo tomorrow evening, but cannot say positively. I suppose you are wondering what I am here for, I am after money to buy a steam mill, but do not much expect to get it. I am disappointed in Newburyport where I most depended upon getting it. I shall look about there some more before I go to Bangor. I am very well. Stand traveling much better than when I went west. Theodore leaves St. Paul today to come here. Helen comes with him. He has improved some the last three weeks. Father does not leave until I get back. I ought to leave Bangor for the coast next Monday, as you might suppose. Isaac, Nettie & Anna are anxious for you to go back to Elyria with me. I would like much to have you go but do not wish to urge you unless you judge it best. I'm ? hoping to see you all in a few days. With much love
