I sent a letter home yesterday giving some description of the place here ye, and find this morning that the middle sheet was left behind! So here it is, with a little added. Hope we will have a letter from Osawatomie soon. I have been with Jennie so long & so constantly that I naturally think of her a great deal & long to know how she is.

24th - This has been laid aside & I have been sewing. - Some things which were cut out more than years ago have come to the needle now. Miss Wilson is a dressmaker & is making my brown sateen dress, which will make me very comfortable. Sat evening I went down to the P.O

much obliged to [[Gertrude?]] for [[going?]] for the mail & my glasses may be in my trunk. I will give another search. I am sorry about the hogs, as there will be tax to pay if kept till after the 1st of March. Hope the price will rise.
