Saturday, April 7. Cold but moderately pleasant. Holden & McJunkins came back to day.  A good many people in town & we were quite busy in the office.  Sherman engaged to go to [[unclear]] his exam again on Monday for Thurman    At night Holden & I called at Rev Wilsons & met there Dr Richards (of course)   Returning Holden & I played "[[bat?]] Jack" until bedtime   Judge Young paid his half of the fees in the partition case $12.50
