This is a fine day -- Eva better. Sheridan & I went down street shopping bought children red cloth cloaks -- and new blue merino,s -- I went to see Licinia after tea -- saw seven children to day dressed up in old clothes of my children which I gave her.

It rains often to day.  I went to my dress makers Mrs Carpenter to be fit to day -- I gave her my cloth dress and my black silk to make.  before returning home I went to the Tremont Hotel to see Mrs. S. S. Hamilton  there I met Ellen Geoghegan of Lexington -- she is up here to see her brother Sam who is at Damp Douglass a prisoner.  Hannah came to day--

To day looks like rain.  Mrs Keen & Mrs [[Davol?]][[David?]] called to see me -- so did Ellen Geoghegan -- I packed some trunks to day.  after tea I went to Tremont Hotel to party -- it now pours rain -- it is one O. clock.  my three children all have croup.  I wrote to Virginia to night

It is a lovely day -- I went to church and found it very warm took a walk after church on the Lake shore -- my baby has had all day croup.  all the rest better.  Belle & Eva went out to the west End with William.  I received a letter from Mr Badger he at Pittsburgh -- will leave for New York.  when he wrote.  Belle not well to night.  Ada lost her first tooth to day -- Octave pulled it out -- lower tooth.

It is beautiful to day -- quite warm.  we all better of colds I went down street. called on Ellen Geoghegan -- she and I went walking & shopping.  I returned home late.  My Milliner Mrs Hobson has arrived.  after tea Mr Fisher Mr Bigelow Mr Hoswell -- Melville willie Heiskell all came in also Eddie Cutts -- we played ten Pins.  Mary left us this afternoon -- did not like Sewing

It is again warm -- Mother Badger & Ariana came in and took dinner with me -- I went out with Eva to buy children stockings.  I received a letter from David.  I have a bad cold to night.  Nelly Ewing married.  butter here to night.

It looks like rain -- all five of my children have cold with croup. Licinia came to see me -- my cloth dress came home -- I went down street shopping. Albert came home with me -- John Hilton here to tea--
