It has a bust of each of these officers [-and- crossed out-] on the side & on the top is a statue of a soldier with Army coat & cape & resting on his gun. Bought Japan plums & dates. The first I had ever seen of the former, I do not like them much. When I returned home, I found [-had- crossed out] that [?] had found my red roses which had so mysteriously gone from my room.
