   We received Aunt Marys last letter last Monday. Well, election has passed and I was not elected County Superintendent. So I wrote you before I did not expect to be elected, about two months ago their was a Miss Borber appointed to the office- the old superintendent having resigned and she and her parents were old residents of the county and she naturally expected to receive the nomination on the republican ticket, but I was almost unanimously nominated. Libbie's brother will woo a candidate in the same convention for County [[unclear]], but lost the nomination on the ground
