Eva ordered the Carriage and went out and made some purchases for our lunch at one o, clock. Mrs Hilton, Alice and Ella Badger came to lunch. We had a splendid lunch. Miss Robinson came to sew today for me she two dollars a day. Miss Kyle came and cut and fit the work she four dollars a day. Mrs Staples Miss Staples Mrs Shortull, Mrs G Lord Mrs Insdum and Mrs Stelle Mrs Albert Keep all called to see us. after Tea Mrs Lily Fairbank called, J. Ward Hunt arrived in the City to day. Friday Nov 13th 1874. It has been quite cool to day. all of us well, we remained at home during the morning and after lunch went shopping. called a few minutes on Belle. She and Mr Harvey came in their Buggy to see us. My dressmaker Miss Robinson is still working at my dress, a black silk. George Walter Hilton slept all night to night at our house. Saturday Nov 14, 1874. This has been a dark day, it snowed a little, then turned into rain, all of us in health. Belle with her baby, Robbie Charles and George, also Nurse Maggie all spent the day with us. after they went away, Eve Ada Shreve went out in the Carriage to do some shopping. when they came home, I went and bought the boys new felt hats, Ada went to French class. Sunday Nov 15, 1874. This has been a lovely day, all of us well. I went to church with Mr Angell Eva, Ada and Sheridan, Mr Badger went out to his Father,s. after dinner Belle came up with her baby, and staid all evening. I sent her home in my Carriage. Eva and Mr Angell rode home with her. Mr Badger had a few little things left by his Aunt Mrs Brackett Hutchings. Monday, Nov 16 1874. This has been a [[unclear]] chilly day. Miss Kyle came to sew for us to day. She leaves to night for Louisville. Mrs Sturges was buried to day. I went on the West Side to See Some Sewing girls, did not like them. I went to night with Octave to Mrs Hoyne,s party given to yong Mrs Walker, Mrs Badger Ada Belle Mr Harvey all went to hear Dumurska Eva and Mr Angell at home. |
