Tuesday, October 29, 1901 Our weather still continues beautiful warm and sunny. all well here Mrs Shreve gone to her house, to see how the workmen are coming on with the cleaning, Mr Bland Ballard took his breakfast, and will take dinner with us, Ada Badger Swearingen spent the morning with us, she well and looks handsome and happy. at four O.clock she receives with Mrs Gilbert Cowan, (the bride) in her new house. Belle Houston has gone to the Reception Mrs Allan Houston gone this afternoon. with Mrs Sherley Moore, in her handsome Cart and beautiful span of horses to look at a summer house, she thinks of buy. it belongs to Mr Atherton the name of the place is [[blank]] Last night Mr and Mrs Embry Swearingen had a dinner given them at the Country Club, by Mr [[blank]] they drove out in a Buggy. and had a good time, and met many relatives, of Mr Swearingen,s. They called on Ada Swearingen to play and sing. all admired her voice, she had many compliments
