Wednesday, I believe, Isabel, Lucy, and Nany Manuel, were here.They came a little while before dinner, and staid till about four o clock, and Saturday afternoon, Maggie and Libbie, and Mary and Hetty Roberts made us a visit. I wend a little way with them home, and Mary Roberts and I went in and explored the wonders of Hannah Roberts old house the famous haunted house. We saw no ghosts however. You have doubtless read in the papers of the mysterious atmospheric body that produced such disastrous effect in [[Sherfield?]] and elsewhere. Did you see or hear it at the time? We can not but feel grateful that though it passed over the city, it did no harm to our loved ones there, - Have you seen the comet yet? We have not, but have heard it could be seen in the daytime through smoked glass. - Don't be worried about the Cen. Pa says he does not want Anna to come home. - So there - take all the comfort and pleasure you  can with your music, and rest yourself during this little vacation. - Thank Lizzie most kindly for my part of Sissies letter, the envelope that I suppose belongs to me as my name is on it. - How could Lizzie be so thoughtful, as to remember one who is so negligent in writing to her! - By the way, I hope Lizzie will come home again before long. - I am felling no worse since coming home. We are having a grand time cleaning house, have papered that part of Pa's study and [[Lenny's ?]] rooms. Sissie came home Sunday not feeling very well, went back today feeling better!
