I didn't get through till Mary came from school - Mary is boarding at Samuel's but she stops every night & morning & I enjoy it a sight - Maria & the children have been here most of the afternoon - she is weaning little Abby so takes her over here to amuse her - Samuel has made Maria a border in front of house & I went over & set out 4 Dahlias for her Now tell me if you work in the garden among the flowers or are you more comfortable to keep yourself quiet I wish you would tell me all you know I can be as secret as you wish, & I shall feel much better to know exactly the state of your health - you say you have engaged a nurse & I hope she is an experienced one - Betsy Buffum-like - but more than all take good care for yourself - keep yourself as calm & quiet as possible after your delivery for very much will depend upon it afterwards - I mean
