[[note top right: Hardman X Nancy X ]] To day has been beautiful, all of us well, and busy with dressmaker Miss McKeggan and Mary Miss McKeggan finishes her work with me to night. our dog Rolla bit a little Italian boy on the arm to day. + Miss Maria Hamilton married yesterday, also Dora Allen Mr Harvey's motherinlaw by the first wife Mrs Hardman died last night. Belle and Mr harvey called to day. Eva's mocking bird came home to day. Nancy Moore our cook went to Louisville to night for a visit Eva went to Mr Angells Office, and he gave her a very handsome sett of jewelry. Shreve out with his goats Saturday Oct 3rd A bright day, all well, I had a letter from my Father. Ada,s dressmaker came this morning her name is Mrs Sherburn. Ada gone to her French class, Eva gone down town, after dinner Sheridan Shreve Ada & Hunt all went to dancing school at Martines. I gave up my black girl Susan to day after tea Mrs Nearby and Belle came up to see us, they had been to the Funeral of Mrs Hardman his first mother inlaw. Mrs Gen Cheltin called Sunday Oct 4th 1874. Another lovely day, all well. I did not go to church, but staid at home with Hunt. Mr Badger gone to his Fathers to say Good bye, after our dinner Mr Freeman of New York called at four O.clock I took a desire to go with Mr Badger to Louisville to see my Parents. had a trunk brought out of the Attic, and put Hunts clothes and mine in and we travelled quickly. Mr Angell and Eva went in our Carriage and my two boys took the Buggy. we stopped at my daughter Belle's and said Good bye and reached the train in good time, and at seven o'clock we left Chicago. Monday Oct 5, 1874. All night we travelled safely and reached Louisville at eight in the morning, took the Omnibus and reached my sisters houses in a short time, walked right up in their dining room and found all the family at breakfast. They were much surprised and delighted, eat a hearty breakfast after supper went to the exposition with David & James. | ||

All night we travelled safely and reached Louisville at eight in the morning, took the Omnibus and reached my sisters houses in a short time, walked right up in their dining room and found all the family at breakfast. They were much surprised and delighted, eat a hearty breakfast after supper went to the exposition with David & James. |
