Dear Mr Porter, Thank you very much indeed for your kind letter. I do hope that the papers I am enclosing may be of some use and interest. I am quite prepared to sell them but frankly I do not know what figure to suggest. Needless to say I want to be entirely fair. I think the best thing would be for you to make me an offer after you have been through them. As regards the trophies. These consist of an oak shield engraved G.
