Vols 1 &2, in vain,  it occurred to me that possibly it might be with my books that came from N.G., and have been boxed up so long. I borrowed a few books once after mother’s death. Had offered the two boxes a few days ago, finding them all night. Well, to my great pleasure, there was the missing book all right. Have put it with the others to go to Merrill. Have I mentioned that E’s mother Bible is here, containing the family record! It was on the table in the parlor. Has at sometime suffered a little from dampness. Some of the leaves somewhat discolored, otherwise all right, and is in study with the
