wrong of course we cannot change our conduct- A telegram announces the death, this morning of Mrs Porter. Jane is very sad and thinks she will go tomorrow by the cars to attend the funeral in company of Ellen Baird, Mary Acheson & Bell unclear- Dr. Hanna was buried yesterday - he was gentle, kind and beloved by his family and people- Mrs Hanna seems to be a sincere mourner- Mrs Harding Julius and some others are making an effort to raise a bounty fund and find it rather difficult among the rich- and the poor have not the therewith- but I believe they expect to get it somehow.
