If you can succeed with Members of Congress in the passage of the appropriation bill to direct our annuities to be paid as heretofore to the Treasury of the Cherokee Nation in accordance with the meaning & intention of the Treaties, perhaps the President would feel himself bound to recall his late instructions upon this subject.
