The state of our publick affairs have hitherto prevented his receiving any stipend for his services which is 30 ll [[i.e. pounds]] [[word unclear]] but I hope that in this journey he will meet with Mr. Phillips the Commissioners Treasurer at Norwich and if he has received any money a bill of £22:20 which will be due the 13th of this instant will be paid to M. Gilbert. I write in the greatest haste and can only add that I am with the greatest regard yr. most humb Servt,
