War Department, Feb: 28: 1842 My dear Sir To complete certain memoranda regarding the Cherokee Treaty of 1835, I am in want of information upon the points which I embody in the annexed questions. Can you conveniently enable me to answer them? I have the honor to be, Dear Sir Most respectfully yours John Howard Payne.
