on returning to the Boat, Sprague informed us that he thought he had seen a Grisley Bear. we went toward the spot. the felow had taken its path below the high Bank, and we all fired at it in so quick a manner that it was Killed in a few seconds. Mr C. shot it first through the neck, Bell 2 Balls unclear? where any unclear? 1 in the belly. Sprague abused me greatly. but let it pass!
