Geese very abundant. landed below Me.Sioux River to Hunt Pushing, having seen a large cockon the Bluff. Bell Killed one female and Harris 2 Young birds. They will keep unclear? for food for some days, as I cannot eat Beef at all. We stopped again appa? Floyd Bluff and Started again and ran about 4 miles and were forced to damp in a very ugly place at 12 o'clock. had Rain and Hail at Intervals. Stopped in the mouth of the Howaha? River 1 mile from the village. Abundance of Geese. The wind lulled and the stars are shining. 2 Oct Monday. Beautiful but cold. The water had risen? inches and we travelled well having started early.
