I cannot too strongly express my contempt for Penrose's character. He ought to be shot.- I do not speak now of the man personally. That is an unworthy subject-But of the Captain of Infantry who was our Commander. It was to be regretted that Yard did not ask for the Battalion. I thought I would this this much before.
