    General Hazen started North yesterday morning.  Just before his departure he official notified you that the funds at his disposal applicable to the subsistence of Indians had been exhausted and called upon the Subsistence Department of the Army, through you, to feed the Indians upon this reservation until other arrangements are made.  It is understood here
