Remarkable Medicine
take a pottle of wite wine a sponful of fine broken pepper and 6 eggshels be new layd the better; Dry them by the fire or in an oven, brak them to fien powder and put them wt th epepper into bottle the same being close stopped let som one that is strong tumble and shake them together a quarter of an houre, then hang it up wt the bottome upwards or take frnkincense, onions, daffron and fry them. It being eaten is good to prove the stone and break the winde.

Mr. Bulters opinion on the stone when he was at Welby 1529
when he was at Welby 1589.
He saise the payne of the stone on the blod takets away the stomach or weakness in wherby the liver tanneth the nouve brrn that should make good bloud into water wch overcometh the liver. agr wthall in the cause theis Physick will dow good fresh arye is but poore help and so is the scouring of th seas. Ande bathes doe good help to ease the payne.
