letterhead ELLINGER Missouri House of Representatives - 111th District File:Photograph of representative Ellinger

Dear Jack,

No, this is underlined: not a request for a campaign contribution! However I ought to get underlined: something out of my copaign [sic] besides "experience." (I keep having good "experiences" in my life, but sometimes wonder when the real thing will begin!
A while back I read your review of Quentin Bell's biography of Virginia Woolf. Fine review, great, & all that. I couldn't help but notice, however, what to me is a very interesting biographical lapse. What!, no mention that Quentin had a brother - - equally a nephew of the great predecessor of Sylvia Plath, named Julian. The latter having been considered one of the most promising of young British poets died fighting for the right side in Spain. He was a favorite of Ms. Woolfe too [sic] boot. What would Mike Gold ever think!
Enjoyed reading the first chapter of your autobiography in underlined: New Letters. Hope to see the whole thing as it emerges.
I still aim to make good on finding some material in the official manuscripts concerning all your family members killed in the mines at Monkey's Nest.
  Edith & Bob say hello.
  My best to you

Best regards, Rory Ellinger
